Description

The pair of Empire Period rosewood consoles or pier tables date back to the late 18th century. They showcase the characteristic design elements of the Empire style, including deep C scroll column support sides and a flat base leading to a single large drawer under a finely patinated table top. The presence of Italian shipping labels attached to the reverse adds to their historical provenance.

The Empire period generally encompasses the 18th and 19th centuries, during which several empires achieved significant territorial expansion, political influence, and economic control.

Very minor repairs that might be needed but it's important to consider the preservation of the original form.
